Who am I?
My name is Brie Frandsen, but on the mission I'm called Sorella Frandsen (Sister Frandsen).
I was born and raised in San Diego County in California.
I'm a student at Brigham Young University, majoring in Molecular Biology.
I have a passion for music; I play the piano and have dabbled into the ukulele, guitar, and mandolin. I like to read.
I love the beach and love surfing, even though I'm not very good at it.
I learned to speak Spanish through classes at high school and college, and also studied abroad in Spain for 2 months.
But most importantly, I'm a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm a Mormon.
My faith in this Church and in Jesus Christ has led me to serve a mission, so that others may know the joy that the gospel brings.
I'm serving in the Italy Rome Mission, reporting to the Provo MTC on September 17, 2014. After six weeks I'll go to Italy. I'll be gone for a total of 18 months.
You might ask why I'd put it all on hold for 18 months: my education, my family, my social life, everything.
It's because I know that the Church I'm doing it for is true.
It may take 18 months of putting my life on hold, but with God I can change lives and even eternities.
So I put my future in His hands and go, knowing He'll magnify the talents He has given me as I serve Him.
